Emily Davies, Director

Introducing our Director, and the heart and soul of chem, Emily Davies.

With close to a decade of experience in events management and a lifetime of experience in sport, Emily was born for this role. Starting small, she founded chem as a one-man-show in 2009, and hasn’t looked back since.

It all started with a degree in Business Management (specialising in Events Management) at the University of Queensland. Quickly snapped up by the Brisbane Lions Australian Rules Football Club, Emily started her career as an Event Coordinator, organising everything from corporate golf days, gala auctions, club champion dinners and supporter events.

Following her stint with the Brisbane Lions, Emily was approached and engaged by USM Events – one of Australia’s largest and most experienced event management specialists. Emily quickly progressed to a Senior Project Manager, organising a variety of mass participation sporting events, such as the Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run, the Noosa Triathlon, the Mother’s Day Classic Fun Run/Walk and the Queensland Triathlon Series. One of the highlights during her time at USM Events was the successful running of the 2009 International Triathlon Union World Championships on the Gold Coast.

With a genuine passion for sport and events management as well as a tireless belief in the importance of a balance, Emily has a lot to offer corporate Australia. From her office in Brisbane, she directs chem nationally with the help of her committed team, an impressive network of industry contacts and a comprehensive knowledge of events management.
