At chem, we appreciate bike rides with a difference – & this one’s pretty unique.
From Monday November 21 to Friday December 2, Employment Office is hosting a bike ride where the cyclists involved never leave the office! The sorebums event is a continuous, stationary cycle to raise $20,000 to support Diabetes Queensland.
Employment Office and Diabetes Queensland employees, clients and guests will complete a 2,000km relay, taking turns at cycling 30 minute legs for 8 hours every weekday for 2 weeks.
Every rider has their own profile page linked to the sorebums website, allowing them to spread the word about their involvement, and to encourage family and friends to sponsor their efforts.
Just so we can be sure the riders aren’t slacking off, a live webcam is steaming a constant feed of the cycling relay – click here to check it out.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Diabetes Queensland, an organisation committed to reducing the incidence of diabetes through awareness, prevention, detection, management and the search for a cure.
