This July, workers all over Brisbane will have the chance to take part in a new and unique corporate running series – Fast Track.
As part of the official series launch, event ambassador Duncan Armstrong, and Channel 10 Toasted TV star Seamus Evans, tested their fitness in treadmill race to 5km – with Duncan emerging the clear winner.
According to Duncan, the series is just what the doctor ordered for Brisbane.
“It’s great to have an event on our doorstep that makes it easy for busy people to get out there and be active,” he said.
“Hopefully the series will encourage more of us to incorporate exercise into our daily lives and work towards improving the overall health and wellbeing of the corporate community.”
Designed to suit the busy corporate lifestyle, this fun run team challenge kicks off on 20 July and will be held once a fortnight over 7 weeks.
Teams of up to 5 participants can choose to walk/run 4km or run 6km, starting anytime between 7:30am and 4:30pm.
And there’s no need to start with team mates. Entrants can come before work, in between meetings, in lunch breaks – it’s up to them.
Ideally positioned on the sporting events calendar, this series is the perfect opportunity for Brisbane city workers to Fast Track their fitness for the range of sporting events that take place from early September.
With the emphasis on participation and improvement, a range of prizes will be up for grabs, awarded to both the fastest and most improved teams.
Participants can also nominate to enter a number of novelty categories, including The King and Queen awards – for participants who work on a street in Brisbane’s CBD named after royalty.
As part of the series, one lucky participant will also win a treadmill valued at over $3000.
Registrations for the Fast Track Corporate Running Series are now open.
